How much does oven cleaning cost in Liverpool?
A single oven is £60 and a double oven is £85. A Neff slide and hide oven is £70, or £95 for the double. Hobs start at £25 and extractor hoods are £25 including a new filter. There is no VAT to pay on any of it. You can see the full price list here.
How long does an oven clean take?
Most single ovens take around an hour and a half to two hours from arriving to packing up. A double oven, or an oven that has not been cleaned in several years, can take a little longer. We will give you a realistic time when you book so you are not waiting around.
Do you use caustic chemicals?
No. Inside your oven we use only blades, scourers and an eco-friendly de-greaser. There is no caustic soda, no choking fumes and nothing that lingers on your kitchen surfaces. Racks and trays are cleaned in a heated dip tank out in our van, so the strong-smelling part of the job never happens in your home.
Can I use my oven straight after you have finished?
Yes. Because we do not use caustic products and everything is rinsed in fresh water and dried before it goes back, your oven is ready to use as soon as we leave. There is no burning-off period and no need to run it empty first.
What exactly is included in an oven clean?
We strip the cooker of pan racks and hob centres and put them in the dip tank, along with the oven racks, trays and light covers. We then remove the oven door and split the glass so the grease trapped between the panes comes out. Everything is rinsed, dried, polished and reassembled in your home. Standard racks and shelves are included in the price; extra trays, grill pans and roasting dishes are £2 each.
Which areas of Liverpool and Merseyside do you cover?
All of them. We are based in Liverpool and cover every L postcode, including Allerton, Woolton, Aigburth, Childwall, West Derby, Huyton, Crosby, Bootle, Walton, Speke, Garston, Kirkby, Maghull and Formby. We also cover Ormskirk, Aughton, Widnes, St Helens, Warrington and Runcorn.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
Very little. Just make sure the oven is switched off and cool, and that there is somewhere reasonably close to park the van, since the dip tank lives in the back of it. Everything else is our job, including putting protective sheets down and taking the dirty water away with us.
Do you clean range cookers and Agas?
Yes. Larger range cookers are priced individually at the visit because they vary so much, but if you tell us the make and model when you call we can usually give you a good idea over the phone.
How often should an oven be cleaned?
For an average household, once a year keeps on top of it. If you roast a lot, cook for a big family, or you have had a spillage that has baked on hard, every six months is better. Landlords and letting agents usually book us between tenancies rather than to a schedule.
Do you charge VAT?
No. There is no VAT to pay on any of our work, so the price we quote is the price you pay.
Do you clean anything besides ovens?
We do. We steam clean washing machines from £38, dishwashers, tumble dryers, chest freezers, fridges and American style fridge freezers. Microwaves are £30 and stainless steel splash backs start at £5. See our washing machines and white goods page for the full list.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured. We are an independent, family-run company rather than a franchise, so the person who quotes you is the person who does the work.
When can you come out?
We work Monday to Friday, 8am until 8:30pm, so we can usually fit in an evening appointment if you are out at work during the day. We are closed at weekends. Call or text 07929 088029 and we will find a slot that suits you.
Do you work for landlords and letting agents?
Regularly. Our market includes North West households, schools, hostels and leasing agencies. If you manage several properties, ask about booking a run of them in one day — it keeps our travelling down and we can reflect that in the price.
